Privacy.

helloCITY is an editorial city guide. We don't ask you to create an account, what you save in My Bag stays in your browser, and we only keep your email if you subscribe to City Notes.

Who is responsible

This site is run by WOVA STUDIO, based in the United States. For any question about your data, write to studiowova@gmail.com.

What data we handle today

In your browser (it never leaves your device)

• My Bag: the stories, guides, cities and experiences you save. Stored only in your browser.
• Local activity log: a list of up to 200 anonymous actions (for example, “saved a Paris guide”) to understand what works. It is not sent to any server today.
• Session ID: a random code that is deleted when you close the tab.

Technical details are on the cookies and storage page. You can clear everything with “Empty My Bag” or from your browser settings.

What we don't do

• We don't use Google Analytics, advertising pixels or tracking cookies.
• We don't track opens or clicks in our emails.
• We don't sell or share personal data.

Third-party services involved when you browse

When the page loads, your browser connects to these services, which receive technical data such as your IP address and browser type:

• Google Fonts, for typography.
• Pexels and Unsplash, which serve the photos.
• Etsy, which serves the product photos in our shop section, and our shop itself if you click through. From that point, Etsy's privacy policy applies.
• Vercel, our hosting provider, which may log visits for security and operations and provides our cookie-free, aggregated analytics.

If you subscribe to City Notes

• What we keep: your email, your subscription status, the date and version of this policy you accepted, and whether you confirmed or unsubscribed.
• Double opt-in: we send you an email to confirm. If you don't confirm, we won't write to you again.
• Abuse prevention: we use an irreversible code derived from part of your IP address (never the full address) and your browser type.
• Providers: data is stored with Supabase and emails are sent through Resend. They only use it to provide that service to us.
• Unsubscribing: every email includes a one-click unsubscribe link. We keep a record of the unsubscribe so we never write to you again.
• We never send your email address to analytics tools or affiliate networks.

Analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand which pages people visit and how they find us. It doesn't use cookies, doesn't track you across other sites and only reports aggregated, anonymous numbers (page views, referring site, country, device type). We don't use Google Analytics or advertising pixels.

We also count a few actions on our own pages, such as saving an item to My Bag, clicking through to our Etsy shop or signing up for City Notes, so we know which stories are useful. Each count stores only the action, the page, the item, the device type (mobile or desktop), the country (never the city), the referring website and a random visit ID that is deleted when you close the tab. It never includes your IP address, email or any other personal data, and it's stored with Supabase.

Your rights

Depending on the law that applies to you, you can ask to access, correct, delete or object to the use of your data, and withdraw consent. Write to studiowova@gmail.com and we'll reply within the legally required time.
